Geosense SGP-3400 Strain Gauge Piezometer

The Geosense SGP-3400 Series of strain gauge piezometers are reliable and accurate instruments designed for monitoring soil pore pressure or changes in water level. The voltage and mA output options allow it to easily be used with automated logging systems such as the Cautus Logger.

  • 8 available models with pressure ranges from 1-20 bar
  • Fast response, suitable for dynamic measurements
  • Improved accuracy with temperature compensation

Description

The SGP-3400 Series of strain gauge piezometers are designed for monitoring soil pore pressure or changes in water level.

They are accurate, highly reliable and suitable for use in harsh environments often found within civil engineering applications including water wells, boreholes, dams, reservoirs, rivers, tanks or any other body of water.

The sensor is housed in a stainless steel sealed body with a porous filter tip which is available in different porosities to suit specific site conditions.

As the SGP-3400 Series provides a fast response with high accuracy they are suitable for dynamic monitoring such as pumping tests.

Each unit comes with a unique calibration certificate which specifies I/O parameters and actual data which validates the unit static accuracy and thermal characteristics and ensures accurate data over a wide temperature range.

Available with either voltage or mA outputs, the SGP-3400 Series can be read by simple handheld readout units or integrated into a data logger for fully automated monitoring.
